While the weather heats up this summer in the Windy City, locals and visitors alike can enjoy Jove Ts Big Daddy Cone Ice Cream Shop, the new pop-up ice cream outfit that opened last Friday at The James Chicago. Run by executive pastry chef Jove Hubbard of David Burkes Primehouse, new signature flavors will be featured weekly and sold each Friday from 3 to 5 pm at the hotels JBar entrance through the end of June. The upbeat term is often paired with the word vipi (how) as in, Mambo, vipi? How are things? There are at least 20 ways to answer the popular question that I never learned in formal Swahili classes. The gap between school and street could not be wider than in Stone Town, Zanzibars capital city, a UNESCO World Heritage site, that nearly 400,000 residents call home.
