Breaking news: InterContinental Kabul under attack

Tragic news is coming from one of Kabuls most closely-guarded hotels. Apparently the Intercontinental Kabul a hotel popular with Westerners has come under attack from gunmen and suicide bombers. The Taliban have claimed responsibility and at least 10 people are reported dead. Although Kabul has been relatively stable for some time, violence and disruption in the city has increased since the death of Osama bin Laden.
