New Museum for Haute Couture Master

One of the 20th Centurys most talented haute couture designers, Spanish-born Cristbal Balenciaga remains a celebrated figure in the world of high fashion. While an examination of his work as influenced by Spanish culture, history, and tradition is currently on exhibit at San Franciscos de Young Museum through July, a new museum dedicated entirely to the designer opens this Friday in Balenciagas home town of Getaria.The Cristbal Balenciaga Museoa will offer classes, lectures, and educational workshops and feature a permanent exhibition as well as temporary shows organized around different aspects of the designers work.
