Hotels Rethink In-Room Work Space for Business Travelers

Eventi Hotel, New YorkBusiness travelers rejoice! Theres a transformation underway to get rid of those inconveniently placed electrical outlets in your highway house rooms, trashing all those traveller pamphlets which throng a work desk, adding office chairs with wheels as well as lumbar support, switching to lamps with plugs at a bottom for charging cellphones or laptops. A recent essay in The New York Times describes how a workspace in highway house rooms is removing a makeover:

The ascent does not price a lot of money, analysts said, though goes a long way toward satisfying business travelers, who have been increasingly approaching to keep up with their workloads whilst on a road.

The NYT cites Kimpton Hotels as a single example:

The company is adding new, roomier desks, with some-more suitable lighting for work. The desks have power strips which have widely spaced sockets so a massive charger does not block a neighboring outlet, according to Niki Leondakis, Kimptons boss as well as chief operating officer.
