The Belfry of Bruges, Bruges

BELGIUM: The Belfry of Bruges, or Belfort - the iconic tower in the centre of medieval Bruges - viewed from the Dijvers Canal. The main tower was completed in 1240, and rebuilt after a major fire in 1280, with the octagonal upper tower added between 1483-87. The tower totals 83m (274ft) high.
